Counting Cars

I think most people are familiar with the TV show "Pawn Stars" on the History Channel. One of the experts that they would have on the show was Danny, owner of a custom car shop called Count's Kustom. Danny had a special charm, and so they spun him off to his own show called "Counting Cars." The show features Danny and his team finding and restoring classic cars. My father in law is a fan of the show and so when we went to Las Vegas in late November he asked to stop by the shop and get some pictures.

We stopped by planning just getting a picture of the outside of the shop. It's a working car shop, so I didn't think they wanted people poking around. When we got out of the car, one of the guys was walking by and told us to go on into the office and they could let us into the show room where Danny has a collection of cars and motorcycles on display. Everyone that we encountered was super nice and accommodating and this stop was as highlight of the trip.
This car you see in the picture to the right is a '41 Ford. You can see at video of Danny talking about this car here... In fact, to see more video clips from the show, you can visit the show page on the History Channel's web page here...
You can also visit the Count's Kustom web page here...
The display area had a couple dozen of Danny's cars and a half a dozen bikes. There was also a small merchandise area and you could see into the shop from there. It actually looks like they have several shop areas in the little industrial park where they were located. We didn't see any cameras, so they weren't taping the day we were there but it was still a neat thing and a stop I'm glad we made.

Hey Todd- I finally got around to reading your post. This computer is going by the way of the dinosaurs but no money to buy a new one yet. Anyway, I loved the pictures. I've watched Pawn Stars a few times and seen Danny on there, but I don't ever recall seeing the shop before. It's incredible how we're each blessed with different talents, and he's definitely got the talent to refurbish cars. I'd be afraid to have on out on the street. You wouldn't even want to get it dusty. Thanks for sharing. Have a great Christmas!
